| Kebbe resides in Waxhaw NC with her husband, cat and four dogs. Art has been a passion in her life. She studied two years toward a Commercial art degree. Recently she was featured in a show ...The artists of Union County. Kebbe says the artistic ability in her family has passed down through the women......from her grandmother, mother, two sisters, herself and now her daughter. She has done everything from stained glass, pottery to paper mache' animal heads for a childrens hospital. Soft pastels came into her life only five years ago. She had a friend do a portrait of her husbands children for Christmas. When she got it back, she kept studing it. I can do this she said. She asked a friend for a picture of her dog to practice. Three days after she gave the portrait to her friend, the friend showed up with a huge set of pastels in gratitude. A new love was born. Kebbe says, this is the first art medium she has worked with, that when she starts, and looks up four hours have passed. God definetly had a hand in this, and she is so thankful. Her husband says she is making memories with her portraits, and if she makes someone cry when they get their portrait, her work is done.
