| Kathy was introduced to jewelry making by a friend and continues taking classes to learn new techniques. She enjoys working with various types of beads and metals as she creates different styles of jewelry. Kathy is often amazed how simple materials can be transformed into unique pieces of jewelry and often loses track of time when involved in projects. Kathy began exploring her creative side with different craft projects—such as cross-stitch, sewing, quilt making, refinishing furniture, scrapbooking and glass painting until she discovered how much she enjoys making jewelry for others. Sometimes she has a specific person in mind and the design will unfold, other times she finds God planting the design in her mind with special meaning associated with the material and its placement. She has four children who also like to dabble with their creative side and use her extra materials. Her family often assists with ideas and experience in her creations.
